How does Singapore taste? Like toasted coconut and gula melaka (caramelised palm sugar), going by Starbucks' latest creation.
The coffee giant will release its first drink created for Singapore on Tuesday, launched ahead of the country's 52nd birthday next week.

The drink will also launch with a range of desserts incorporating local, peranakan flavours.
These include an ondeh ondeh-style gula melaka cake, made of pandan sponge and coconut flakes; a vanilla sponge cake with pulut hitam (black glutinous rice and coconut milk) cream; and cakes with Ovaltine and Horlicks flavours in them.
