This is what happens when you make an owl your ring bearer     DATE: 2024-10-18 20:27:31

Look, weddings are super stressful affairs. There are a million things that can go wrong, including someone going rogue. That is why, as one couple learned, you should not make an owl your ring bearer.

At the recent wedding of Jeni Arrowsmith and Mark Wood at Peckforton Castle in Cheshire, UK, an owl was serving as ring bearer when it decided to stir things up.

In video supplied to The Guardian, the owl is seen flying down the aisle to the arm of the best man -- as planned. But then the owl did as owls sometimes do and gave another groomsman a little what-for.

Naturally, people thought this was hilarious. Sure, the owls may be plotting a takeover of humanity but it's all fun and games, apparently.

Fortunately for photographer Stacey Oliver, she was front and center shooting the wedding and captured a few candid shots which she shared to social media.

Speaking to the BBC, Oliver also revealed that the aggrieved groomsman "is terrified of birds," which means this poor guy literally lived his nightmare while people laughed.

That includes the bride, who told The Guardian, “It was an amazing day for us both, and has given us great memories we will never forget.”

After the attack, the owl flapped about a bit and wound up at the table with the guest registry. I'm not saying he was trying to warn everyone that had signed the registry that they were next, but I'm not notsaying that.
